The values

How the values work

Still Renzey, Blackjack Bluebook II. KISS II is KISS I plus 10s in the minus column and 3s in the plus column. The black-two rule stays.

Color values

Black vs red

Only the color of the two changes the value. Hearts and diamonds are red; spades and clubs are black. Every other rank is the same in every suit.

RankBlackRed
2+10

Black is spades and clubs. Red is hearts and diamonds. The app splits these ranks in Memorize.

The math

Running count, no true count

Start at zero

Unbalanced. Start at 0. Use a key count instead of true count.

Watch the color of the two. Tens now subtract.

Efficiency

Why the numbers look like that

KISS II’s published correlations assume this map, including tens as −1.

Practice KISS II on iPhone

KISS II is a Pro system. Practice treats twos as suit-aware, same as KISS I.

  • Memorize

Drill the KISS II values until every rank is automatic.

  • Running Count

Start at 0 and add every card as it comes off the shoe. A full deck does not return to 0.

  • Key count

No true-count conversion. Raise the bet when the running count crosses the published key count.
