The values

How the values work

Snyder published the Zen Count in Blackbelt in Blackjack as a balanced level-two system with aces in the primary map. That is the difference from Omega II and Canfield Master, which leave aces at 0.

The math

Running count, then true count

Start at zero

Start at 0. Zen is balanced, so a full deck returns to 0. Aces already live in the running count.

True count is running count divided by remaining decks. No ace side count is required for the published map.

Efficiency

Why the numbers look like that

Putting aces in the main count lifts betting correlation versus Omega II, with a little less PE.
