UBZ 2
George C.’s 1995 unbalanced Zen/RPC hybrid. Level-two values, no true-count conversion.
The values
How the values work
Unbalanced Zen 2 (UBZ II) is attributed to George C. (1995). It takes a Zen-like / Revere-like value spread and unbalances it so the running count can be used without dividing by decks.
IRC is (decks − 1) × −4, same formula as KO.
+2
3, 4, 5, 6
Strong plus cards.
+1
2, 7
Weaker plus cards.
0
8, 9
Neutral.
−1
A
Aces in the main count.
−2
10, J, Q, K
Tens.

Starting Count
IRC(decks − 1) × −4
UBZ 2 does not start at 0. You set an initial running count (IRC) from the number of decks — the same formula as KO — then add the level-two values from there.
Before the first card, set IRC = (decks − 1) × −4. A six-deck shoe starts at −20. Add UBZ 2 values from there. When the running count crosses the key count, raise the bet.
